Student Resources.
1. Health & Welness
If
you are experiencing health issues and do not have a family doctor,
staff in Student Services will provide you with the name of a local
walk-in medical clinic. Student Services can also suggest vision care,
dental care, pharmacy, and counselling options available in the YorkC
neighbourhood.
For emergencies, go directly to one of the nearby hospitals. Two of the closest are: William Osler Health System - Etobicoke General Hospital and St. Joseph's Health Centre.

2. Annual Health Insurance Coverage
As an International student enrolled at York College of Applied Studies you must have mandatory health insurance prior to starting your classes. This includes students who are full-time and part-time and who are in a co-op. At YorkC, you have access to health coverage through StudyInsured, Study Insured offers a comprehensive health insurance plan that covers all registered international students at YorkC. This insurance policy provides coverage for emergency medical services. To know more, please contact Student Services on campus.
3. Counselling
No matter if you are dealing with a new school, a new career, a new city
or maybe you are just feeling overwhelmed by things happening generally
in your life. Having someone to connect with and talk to is always the
most important thing. At YorkC there is always a helping hand and someone
who will listen. Students can reach out to their Admissions team who
will guide them and direct them to the right resources whenever needed.
