Women's Shelter Worker Certificate

Trauma-informed. Gender-responsive. Survivor-centred. Build the frontline skills to make a real difference in women's lives — from anywhere, at your own pace.

The Women's Shelter Worker Certificate is a 40-hour, fully online program designed specifically for the Violence Against Women (VAW) . Whether you're stepping into your first frontline role or formalizing years of lived experience, this certificate gives you the evidence-informed framework you need to do this work well — and sustainably.

Unlike general social services programs, this certificate goes deep on the issues that matter most in women's shelter settings: coercive control, safety planning, mandatory reporting, trauma responses, and supporting women from diverse communities. Every module is grounded in feminist, trauma-informed practice.

You'll complete real-world case simulations, reflection exercises, and knowledge checks designed to build both competence and professional confidence. By the end, you won't just have a certificate — you'll have a practice foundation you can rely on.

This is where your training begins — and where women's lives change.
