Introduction to Business

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of international business in an interdependent global world. Students will acquire an overview of the globalization of markets and products from both macro-environments and micro-environments. This course will provide students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to understand the global political, economic, cultural and social environment; as well as gain an understanding of corporate social responsibility and sustainability. It also addresses the global trade and investment environment, as well as the monetary framework in which international business transactions occur. Students will be given an overview of international business strategy and organizational structure; as well as an introduction to the micro business management functions.
